WAVERLEY GARDEN CLUB - April Meeting
Once again, we have our showbench, the trading table, honey, library and swap and share benches.
Please ensure that you all register attendance at one of the front tables (you only need to register once), and if you have a phone, do the QR code as well. We will have people to assist you with this. We need the paper sign in's for insurance and our attendance tracking because we can't access the QR code data.
Drewitt’s Bulbs, based in Silvan, has been a family owned business since 1961, and has one of the largest range of bulbs in Australia, many of them rare and unusual. Tim took over the business from his father Colin when he retired in 2004 and together with his wife Maddie, they have reshaped the business, now supplying prepackaged dormant bulbs to independent garden centres across Australia.
We are lucky enough to be able to have Tim come along and to speak to us about Drewitts bulbs and bring with him a few products for purchase.
So, we can look forward to a wealth of knowledge and tips from Tim.
Assuming no COVID lockdowns, we meet on the first Friday of most months at the Mount Waverley Community Centre (opposite Mount Waverley Railway Station) 47 Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley (Melway Ref. 70E1). If entering in Showbench, entries open at 6:30 and close at 7:30 PM, so get there in plenty of time to stage your items.
The Sales Table and the Swap and Share Table will be open from 7.30pm. PLEASE ensure that your ‘offerings’ are clean and contained in something so that members can just ‘pick and go’. (There will be NO sorting through plant pieces).
Please finalise your purchases & swaps before the meeting starts so Stall Holders can pack up during meeting.
Meetings proper start at 8 PM and finish at approximately 9.30 PM, at which time we enjoy viewing the Showbench display and supper. Meeting closes around 10.15 PM. There is plenty of parking available.
