At the recent veggie workshop, Norbert shared two recipes for natural sprays that will manage the aphids and cabbage moths that will destroy your brassicas

Garlic spray, blend two or three large bulbs of garlic add 500 ml of water. Let it rest for 12 hours, strain in a fine mesh and it is ready to use

The compost heap has been quietly decomposing for about four weeks now, and has probably decreased by about 40% in size.  I have turned it a few times, twice using a garden fork and the other time trying out my compost turning gizmo.  I'm not convinced it is better overall but it is probably easier on the back if you have issues there.

I couldn’t wait to visit the Australian Garden at Cranbourne after John Arnott’s inspiring talk at our last meeting.  Despite the cloudy day, the gardens didn’t disappoint.
