About Us
Waverley Garden Club is one of the largest Garden Clubs in Victoria whose members are interested in many different aspects of gardening.
At our monthly meetings we have expert guest speakers covering topics such as vegetables, fruit and ornamental trees, native plants, annuals, bulbs, orchids, camellias and roses. Speakers often bring samples of plants to show us what is available.
A feature of our monthly meetings is the show bench where members bring in exhibits of their flowers, plants and produce from their gardens. This is like a mini show each meeting and is a source of enjoyment for both the exhibitors who compete for prizes and inspiration for members who see what is growing in local gardens. It is a great way to get ideas for your own garden and to exchange information about how to grow these beautiful and interesting specimens from other local gardeners. Guidelines for exhibitors
The comprehensive free library is available to members who may take books out on loan month to month. We also have swap and share and trading tables at meetings where members can swap, share, buy and sell plants - make sure you arrive early to snap up the bargains! Pre Meeting activities
Our newsletter is sent out each month one week before meetings and includes information about our forthcoming meeting plus other news and information about plants and gardening as well as upcoming events.
We are a friendly group of people who have a common love of plants and gardens. We encourage questions and can usually find an answer from among our more experienced members.
